The Career Development Center (CDC) of the Faculty of Forestry, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) or called CDC-Forestry UGM was founded with the background of the importance of preparing students and graduates who are competent and ready to compete in the world of work. In the era of globalization and industrial revolution 4.0, the need for workers who have abilities beyond academic knowledge is increasingly high. They must also have soft skills, practical expertise, and an understanding of the professional world. The aim is to increase the competency of graduates so they are able to face global challenges, such as climate change and sustainable natural resource management, as well as meeting the growing demand for a professional workforce.
Besides, CDC-Forestry UGM also supports UGM’s vision as a World Class University by facilitating career guidance, information on job opportunities, and access to companies that need talent in forestry sector. CDC-Forestry UGM not only increases the competitiveness of graduates at national and international levels, but also answers the needs of alumni and industry who want work-ready and competent workforce.
